I’m so happy you're considering us to together to capture your epic surprise proposal. Fun fact, we were the first company to photograph surprise proposals here! It's been our baby since 2015! Part of the AGS Photo Art experience is keeping things simple and easy for each of my clients. After photographing over 300 couples, We know exactly what to provide to create a seamless proposal photography experience for you. My team is fully trained to capture your one in a lifetime event and we specialize in surprise proposals and WE CAN'T WAIT TO PHOTOGRAPH YOURS!!

Hey!
My name is Samantha, but my friends call me Sam.
I am a boy mom, agricultural wife, military daughter, older sister, horse girl at heart and I love being a professional photographer.
I am a wife to a fourth-generation farmer, although technically he will say he is a harvester. I met my husband in middle school and we started dating in high school. Through college, young adulthood, and marriage, our wild adventure currently has us braving the parent life to our five-year-old son. Motherhood is the most difficult yet most meaningful title my life has allowed me to carry.
I love light, my Canon and capturing connection with it. It is an immense privilege for me to be able to capture your life in its happiest moments; photographically documenting and preserving you and your love during this stage in your life, so that you may revisit it later."

our questionnaire is very speciifc for your session. it's so important for us to know more about your partner to help create a good space around them for when you propose. Since it's a surprise, we want to make sure we are aware of how they might react and feel.
What is a proposal guide? A curated in depth guide on how to propose, tips, trick things to think of, how to prepare them, how for you to prepare, where to propose and more!!
this isn't just your googled version of a locals guide. As a local you'll get access to my update to doc that I use myself! These are vetted and personal fav's! This is the perfect partner to help you plan the rest of your time here on the coast!

My work is set apart from the industry standard because I offer a fine art degree background and a robust portfolio of work. I have over 15 years of experience photographing hundreds of couples from small intimate proposals on the coast to elaborate proposals in a museum in San Francisco.
What sets you apart From Other Photographers?
After photographing over 80 couples a year I am the original Monterey Proposal Photographer. Thats right! I've been photographing proposals in the area for over 8 years. When no one else wanted to help couples like you, I did. My collections are tailored to help you create the best experience for your person. WE WANT YOU TO HAVE THE BEST PROPOSAL! I totally get that! If once you see the gallery and your fiance is adding images to their cart left and right let me know and we can upgrade your collection. Believe me I get it! My goal is so you can have them all!
Do you make a Proposal timeline?
Yes! Even though our time might be short and sweet, I want to help you build a timeline so we can capture as much as possible during your proposal.
do you photograph all types of couples?
YES!!!! IF YOU DON'T KNOW PLEASE KNOW THIS. I believe LOVE IS LOVE and we only work with vendors and other business who share the same business ethics that I do. We are a LGBTQIA+ friendly business
Do you photograph Multiple locations for proposals?
Of course! AGS Photo Art offers multiple proposal photography packages. You can customize if you'd like to propose in one destination and then go explore another location in full engagement bliss! It's completely up to you and the proposal experience you want to have. For Big Sur I highly recommend 2 locations!
Do you Know Big Sur Locations?
Yes! That is one of the benefits of hiring a local photographer. I've scouted for many hours to find the best locations, and I understand the light and fog in this area. Most out of town photographers don't know what they're getting themselves into!
Do I have to order prints through you?
I highly recommend ordering prints through our professional vendors, but it is not required. The difference in quality is huge when it comes to ordering through a professional lab, so I encourage clients to let us help with prints!
how do we order books or prints?
After we do your gallery reveal I'll walk you through some of our design options. If you've already ordered a book, i'll design it and we'll schedule to go over it for revisions!
